Miss Malveaux's Magical Mind was created to share my knowledge and experience in the Applied Digital Learning program. My posts dissect the wonderful and diverse world of learning, taking deep dives into various relevant topics that will help demystify a number of educational themes and subjects.

My posts are honest and relevant, and are meant to help you find exactly what you’re looking for.  I hope to motivate you to become more curious, committed, and joyful in your learning voyage.

Although adults are primarily the “teachers,” in my five years in education I have discovered students have an array of things to teach us as well. Children and adults have so much to learn from each other, and the classroom presents this golden opportunity. My students have taught me empathy, kindness, and the art of forgiveness. My hopes are, that I have taught them humility, citizenship, and collaboration, in addition to the required curriculum. So, learning can happen anywhere, any time, and with anyone. Evolution of My Learning

This section is a collection of all my course work. It explores my innovation plan, the development of my plan, outlines, and professional learning plans. Each course was a piece to a bigger puzzle and built upon each other. They were all vital in the success of my implementation of blended learning. The knowledge I gained throughout this program will stay with me forver.

Synthesis of my learning in the ADL Program

COVA+CSLE
This reflection reviews my thoughts on COVA and its implementation. COVA stands for choice, ownership, voice, and authenticity, which we want students to emulate when it comes to their education. We also learned how to create a significant learning environment that will aid in our student's success.

Meet the Team

The ADL program has taught me an array of life lessons, but the biggest one came from the lovely ladies I have been collaborating with for the past year. When I initially began the program I did not have a core group and I struggled immensely with the first two courses. As I entered our second round I met Maria and Valerie. We have had other peers join us but with the exception of two classes this has always been my core group. I was afraid of collaboration when I began this program, but these women have been incredibly supportive academically and emotionally. We have built a strong community between the three of us and depended on one another to help revise and edit projects, share resources such as articles and links, and check on each others mental and physical health. I am forever grateful to these women and the other wonderful people I have met in this program that have supported me throughout the past year.
